Transition look for fall/summer

4:42 PM

Since we are in between seasons and it is still very warm out, I am trying to find looks that incorporate both fall and summer.  For some reason, it just does not seem right to wear dark jewel tones and drak lips just yet.  So today, I came up with a hybrid.  I did coopery metallic eyes and a bright lip.
And the best part is this look lasted me all day with no touch ups. Pretty amazing consdiering all the errands I had to run.  This also a good look for people with blue eyes. The copper shadows I used really made mine pop.

Products Used:
Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer
Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Pose, Model and Drape(?)*
Smashbox Limitless Liner in Java
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit
Maybelline The Falsies Flared Mascara
Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lipcolor in Fruit Punch
Revlon Color Stay Foundation

*I am pretty sure Drape is the color I used. I am not sure since it was in a Lancome Holiday Palette and the colors are not listed. But I am 100% sure about the other two as I have never seen such vibrant coppers before.  Any cream colored shade will work.

I started with Smashbox's Lid Primer. While that dried, I used Bobbi Brown's Concealer Kit to cover up my dark circles.  Afterwards, I applied drape all over the lid, up to the brow bone.  Then I applied Model up to the crease and blended it out. I also used Model on the lower lash line. I put a littke bit of Pose on top of that, which just added a more metallic sheen to the look. I applied a thin line Smashbox Limitless Liner on the tap lash line and the water line. To finish up the eyes, I applied a few coats of The Falsies Flared Mascara.  I finished up the look with Revlon's Colorstay Foundation and Color Sensational High Shine Lipcolor in Fruit Punch.

And here are the results: =)
The first photo is right after I applied everything.  The others are about four hours later. The eyeshadow did not budge one bit! And the eyeliner barely did.  The lipstick lost some of the glossy finish, but the color stayed put.

Tomorrow, I am going to try the same idea with Maybelline shadows for those on a budget. Hopefully it will have the same results.
