Maybelline Dream Nude Airfoam foundation

6:44 PM

This is SO much better than Revlon's airbrush foundation(review here). Maybelline's version is much easier to work with, has no odd air bubbles, and half of the dispensed product does not disappear as soon as you touch it. And it is also a little cheaper. It has sheer coverage, but it is also easy to build. I tried a very sheer layer this morning and a heavier layer tonight; both performed well. My skin feels very smooth and not the least bit oily. It even covered up some redness from blemishes. This is one product where you want to follow all of the instructions. The first pump dispensed a white foam, so it may take an extra pump or two to see the color. After that, you should be good to go. Also, it does indicate to apply section by section in circular motions. I did find that to be the best way to apply. My only complaint(and it very well could be an operator error) is that it dispensed a lot and it seems to be a little challenging to control that. All in all, this is a really good product. So far, I am very pleased with it.

This is Porcelain Ivory. It looks a little dark here, but it does not apply that dark. I am about the color of Casper, and it works perfectly =) And pardon the eyeliner swatches, lol.

  1. Hi Kristen! Thank you for doing this review! I had also purchased the Revlon one right when you posted your review and tried it out for a week. It made me break out and I was sooo disappointed with the shimmer which made me look terribly oily all the time! :( I am bummed that I wasted money on that one, and should have tried this one out! Can you tell if it has any shimmer to it? I am hopeful this one will not cause me to break out since the other Maybelline ones I have do not! After reading your review I believe I will try it out! Thank you so much, hon! PS - Are you on Twitter?

    1. You're very welcome =) I am sorry the Revlon one made you break out; that is always a terrible experience. I don't notice any shimmer with the Maybelline. I had to return the Revlon one; it was just unpleasant to deal with. I hope the Maybelline does not cause you to break out and it works for you if you get it. 1. There should be a reply button somewhere under the comment you want to resond to. I just noticed the "reply" button on this page, but I didn't do anything special to make it appear.

    2. And I also looked under my settings to see if there is anything under there to add it, but I did not see anything. For some reason, it just randomly appeared.
