Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara~New Favorite~

I love this mascara!  It will be in my everyday makeup arsenal for a long time to come.

What makes it so special?
This mascara has a gel-mousse formula.  This keeps your lashes from getting that yucky heavy and crunchy feeling.  And this is very true.  My lashes felt lightweight and well, more plush.  Despite the lightweight feeling, this mascara packs a punch.  It made my lashes look much longer and more voluminous.  I experienced no clumping and two coats was perfect.  I have always been a huge fan of Lancome mascara, but this is taking over.  Plus it is a lot cheaper.  It even made my bottom lashes look amazing, which has never happened with other mascaras

 Formula and Shades
As mentioned above, this is an innovative gel-mousse formula.  No more crunchy and flaky mascara.  They do make it in a waterproof formula for 2 out of the 3 shades.  It comes in Brownish Black, Blackest Black and Very Black.  Brownish Black and Very Black are also available in waterproof formula.  I have Very Black in the non-waterproof formula.  It does not flake, feel ever or make my eyelashes feel weak and brittle.  It is also easy to remove.

Sensitive Eyes and Noses
I have very sensitive eyes that are prone to redness and watering with some products.  I am happy to report that this was no issue.  I also know that a lot of people are sensitive to any kind of scent in cosmetics.  This does have the typical mascara odor, but it is not strong.

Packaging and Wand
No frills here.   It has the classic shape of the Volum' Express mascaras from Maybelline.  The coloring is also nice and bright, so you should not loose it :) The wand actually bends, which is something that is not too important to meIt does not bend very much, either.  The brush is soft and the bristles do not feel stiff.  The shape is great for application as it makes it easier to move the wand from the root of your lashes to the tip.  The brush is slightly wider in the center than on the ends.

Application and Price
This mascara layers really well without looking clumpy.  However, I found it to be best not to allow coats to dry before applying another.  I usually stop after two or three because after that, my lashes have the desired length and volume.  It even helped the appearance of my bottom lashes.  Usually mascara does not make them pop, but this stuff did.  I paid $6 for this mascara, which is a steal considering the quality and results.

Overall Impression
Maybelline's Mega Plush Mascara gets a  5/5 from me.  It is the best inexpensive mascara I have ever used and it rivals my high end favorites.  I definitely recommend trying it out.
