Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Cream

10:29 AM

Unlike "The Return of Sexy" palette, I love these lip creams.  Currently, I have two but I would like to get more. They are wonderful.

Shades
Razzle Dazzle Rose: light pink rose
I Want Candy: raspberry rose
There are 14 other shades, so finding a flattering shade should not be a problem at all.  There is certainly no shortage of nudes in this range.  The other shades include:
Naughty Nude: described as Chestnut
Nude Beach: peachy nude
Naked Dolly: nude pink
In The Buff: beige
Honey Bear: mauve
Marshmallow Bunny: marshmallow pink
Juicy Melons: pinky coral
Coral Fire: red coral
Fuschia Shock: fuschia
Sweet Purple: plummy mauve
Cinnamon Kiss: spiced brown
Spice Spice Baby: pink brown.  And how great is the name?
Stiletto Red: true red
Divine Wine: bugundy

I Want Candy and Razzle Dazzle Rose

Razzle Dazzle Rose

I Want Candy

Pigment and Staying Power
Both are wonderful.  The color is opaque in one swipe and the pigment is nice and bright.  The staying power is also great.  I found it to last a good 6 hours on me.  I went to sleep last night with I Want Candy on, and the color was still on my lips this morning.  Not too shabby.

Texture and Finish
This lip color has an amazing texture.  It is very creamy and feels great when applied.  It is actually moisturizing and does not leave lips feeling dry at the end of the day.  It has a glossy finish, but fades to a matte finish by the end of the day.  I always expect creamier lipsticks to bleed or feather a bit, but that was not an issue at all.  And I did not wear any lip liner.

Packaging and Price
I love how simple the packaging is; just a simple, sturdy, gold tube.  They kept the focus on the actual product instead of using the cute packaging gimmick.  But I do love the box it comes in, that will catch your eye with the colors and the peacock and floral design.  They cost $21 and can be found at Sephora, Ulta and Too Faced's site.

Extras and Overall Impression
This lip cream has some unique moisturizers: flower peptides and white lotus.  I am usually pretty sensitive to botanical ingredients, but I had no problem with this product.  I adore the creamy texture and it is nice to actually have a moisturizing lipstick that stays on.  After the flop with their "Return of Sexy Palette", this product was very redeeming.  I give it a 5/5.

  1. I didn't know about these before reading your review, but they look interesting! Too Faced always has such beautiful packaging, I think I might pick up one of these and see how it compares to my Revlon Lip Butters. :)

  3. Thanks =) I have my eye on Naked Dolly, too. It looks like a nice nude shade. They are great, though.

  4. They are pretty new. Too Faced does have really nice packaging. They are fairly similar, but the Too Faced La Creme has more pigment and is creamier. But I love both =)
