Wet n Wild Limited Edition Eyeshadow Trio in Sun-Set to See

9:16 AM

As you may already know, Wet n Wild recently released a bunch of fun limited edition eyeshadow trios.  Of course I couldn't resist picking up some (once I found the darn things).  Sun-Set to See is the most "wearable" of the collection as it doesn't have any crazy colors and you can create a gorgeous day time look with it.

The Shades:
*swatches done w/out primer

  • Browbone: a matte beige
  • Crease: a matte medium brown with a slight touch of red
  • Lid: matte orange. And I do mean orange. Like it makes me want a bowl of mac and cheese.

My Thoughts:
I was really shocked by the great quality of this palette, especially when considering how cheap it is.  The shades feel buttery smooth and have great pigment.  All of the shades have a creamy matte finish. I honestly cannot think of anything bad to say to about them other than the fact that they are slightly chalky, but it is nothing serious.  They blend and apply well on the eye.  The staying power when worn with a primer (I use a cheap one by e.l.f.) is great, too.  They wore well for over 8 hours with no fading or creasing.  Fall out has also not been an issue.  I know with past Wet n Wild eyeshadows it was a problem because they were quite powdery.  Not the case now.

The only place I have spotted these so far is at Walgreens.  If you run into them, you should pick up a few.  This limited edition collection has an array of fun, bright palettes.  Plus they are less than $4, so why not?
