Summer Time Ulta Haul

6:37 PM

Summer is already right around the corner, which for those of us in the south, means stifling heat and humidity.  Goodbye good hair days. The interior of my car made up to 98 already, and I am so very happy I decided not to get black leather interior in my car.  Any who, I figured it was time to at least look like I am ready for summer. Being the color of Casper is not cute. I am lucky enough to leave near an Ulta (and Sephora inside JC Penney), so I stop in from time to time. Here is what I picked up on this trip.

Does this ecotools brush remind you of anything? Say Becca's The One Perfecting Brush? I don't have Becca's brush, so I cannot make any real comparisons. But this Face and Body Sculpting brush seems to have some similarities.  One noticeable difference is that the ecotools brush appears to have a shorter handle and possibly shorter bristles.  Either way, I paid less than $3 for it.  Which beats the heck out of paying $49.  Score. This brush was on clearance, so you may not be able to find it at your local Ulta. I have yet to use it, but it feels so soft, but not flimsy.

If you are new to BECCA, but are curious about their products, I recommend the Best of BECCA set.  For $34.50, you get the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold, Shimmer Skin Perfector Spotlight in Opal, the Guava Beach Tint, and the Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflé in Watermelon/Moonstone.   I have tried all of the products and I will get a review up probably tomorrow or Wednesday. I am pretty sure the Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle and the Beach tint are full size.  The other three products are mini's, but will still last you quite some time.

The Too Faced Little Black Book of Bronzers is one of those products where I have no idea why I bought it. Yet, I cannot wait to use it. I blame it on the fact that these babies smell like chocolate.  Or it may very well have something to do with the fact they have so many great reviews out there.  There are few here that I have wanted to try for some time, but this way, I get to try (or at least attempt to) all of them.  Plus I am a sucker for cute packaging. Darn you, Too faced. This set is $48. But you can't put a price on happiness.

I don't do tanning beds, spray tans, and I have no access to a pool to lounge beside.  Plus I no longer tan, I just burn to a crisp. Sometimes even with sunscreen. Enter Jergens Natural Glow Products.  I like the idea of a gradual tanner that is used like a daily moisturizer. To newbies like me, it is much less terrifying than using something by St. Tropez and the like.  Granted, I would eventually like to work up to that.  But this will do for now.

I don't even know why I got this. Knowing how the Jergens products work, it isn't necessary.  But it seems pretty nifty and could be useful. No body wants orange palms, anyway.  I was originally going to get a sunless tanning foam by Ulta, but I was talked out of it by my mom as well as an employee who liked the Jergens.

So far, the only thing I have used is the Best of BECCA set.  I'll probably start using the Jergens products tomorrow evening, as well as the Too Faced bronzers.

What have you hauled recently?
